Research and discovery have been at the heart of Graphic Era’s mission since its inception. The university boasts of many professors and students who are engaged leading-edge research and scholarly work in their respective domains of expertise.

Recently, two students of Graphic Era Hill University’s (GEHU) School of Engineering, Harshit Rathore and Prabhsharan Singh, bagged three-month internship with a stipend of +12,000 by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee. The duo from GEHU shall be a part of state of art collaborative Research and Development Project titled “Signal Processing based Solutions for Antenna Positioning System.

In the project, Harshit (B.Tech CSE, VIth sem, GEHU, Dehradun) shall be responsible for development of the software for repositioning of the antenna to track satellite while Prabhsharan (B.Tech ECE, VIth sem, GEHU, Bhimtal) shall be responsible for hardware support for the same. It is noteworthy that Harshit and Prabhsharan have been awarded the internship position at a stipend equivalent to Junior Research Fellow (JRF) even though they are still pursuing their undergraduate studies.

Both the students were trained for the promising venture under the mentorship of Prof. Vrince Vimal, Professor, Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun who informs that their selection was preceded by several rounds of screening tests.

This project is a fitting testament to Graphic Era’s commitment to providing an encouraging research ecosystem to its students so that they can emerge as change makers and end-to-end solution providers for the future.
